The largest pencil drawing by one artist measured 98.75 m (324 ft) long, 2.43 m (8 ft) wide and has an overall surface area of 240.81 m² (2,592 ft²) and was completed by Ashok Nagpure (India) as measured in Nashik, Maharashtra, India, on 24 May 2010.


The drawing depicted the life of Indian filmmaker Dadasaheb S. Phalke in 27 frames. The area measurement of the drawing includes only the images; witness statements provide this as well as an additional area of 2,700 ft² which includes a strip that gives the painting's title. As this portion does not include imagery it was not included in the record area.
